Project – New catalog of library

During my specialization in User Interface Design, I completed a very interesting and complex project called “New Catalog for Library.” The objective of the project was to design a new web-based catalog for public libraries to replace the old web-based catalog.

The methodology I followed for the project was user-centered design, which involved several phases. In the research phase, I conducted interviews and surveys to understand user needs. Based on these results, I developed a series of interface prototypes, which were tested and improved through feedback and revision cycles.

The experimentation and evaluation phase was particularly important for the success of the project. I conducted a usability test with 150 online library users who were already familiar with the old catalog. The test was conducted in a usability lab equipped with an observation room and desktop computers, and involved the execution of various tasks, feedback collection, and the use of metrics to evaluate the usability of the new catalog.

Thanks to this project, I gained solid experience in designing intuitive and functional user interfaces, and learned how to manage a complex project from research to experimentation.
